LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 13, 2011)The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT, DRUG ARREST: On April 11, deputies responded to a report of an assault which occurred on Sandy Bottom Road in Hollywood. Investigation revealed Jason Allan Foxwell, 25, of Hollywood, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Foxwell punched the victim in the head several times. The victim fled the residence and contacted police. Foxwell was located at the residence and arrested for second degree assault. A search incident to the arrest revealed Foxwell was in possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and a controlled dangerous substance, suspected cocaine. Foxwell was additionally charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected cocaine.
DRUG ARREST: On April 12, deputies responded to the College of Southern Maryland in Leonardtown for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle which had just occurred. A suspect description was broadcast. A short time later deputies located Joshua Mark Bragalone, 30, of Leonardtown, on Washington Street in Leonardtown. Washington Street is located within close proximity of the crime. Bragalone matched the description of the suspect. While speaking with Bragalone, deputies could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana omitting from his person. A probable cause search revealed Bragalone was in possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and a controlled dangerous substance, suspected marijuana. Bragalone was arrested and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected marijuana. Bragalone was not identified as the person who committed the burglary to the motor vehicle.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On April 13, deputies responded to Fox Chase Drive in Lexington Park for a report of an assault in progress. Investigation revealed Marcus DeVon Shorter, 23, of Ridge, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Shorter punched the victim in the face. Shorter was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
