CATONSVILLE, Md. (April 9, 2011) Although foul play is not suspected at this time, Maryland State Police continue their investigation into a body found at Patapsco Valley State Park today.
The body was transported to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for identification and autopsy. The cause and manner of death will be determined pending autopsy results.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, Maryland State Police at the Golden Ring Barrack received a report of a body found at Patapsco State Park. A volunteer search group, assisting with a Baltimore City Police Department investigation, discovered a partially decomposed body. The Baltimore City Police Department, the Natural Resources Police and Maryland State Police responded to the scene.
The body was identified as a male, fully dressed in multiple layers of clothing. He was found in the area of Hilltop Place in Patapsco Valley State Park. Police did not find any obvious signs of foul play.
The cause and manner of death has not yet been determined. The body was transported to the Office of the State Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
