MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 4, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

FALSE STATEMENT TO POLICE OFFICER: On Thursday, March 31 at 4:00 p.m., Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann initiated a traffic stop on a Dodge passenger vehicle in the area of Pegg Road and Westbury Boulevard. Upon successfully identifying the female operator of the vehicle, Tpr. Wiesemann inquired about the identity of the male passenger. The male passenger had no identification available but provided the Trooper with a name and date of birth. Investigations led to the discovery that the information provided by the subject was false information. The male subject was ultimately identified as Martin Durrell Yates, 22, of Loveville. Mr. Yates was arrested for False Statement to Police Officer and on additional outstanding warrants. Upon being transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center Mr. Yates was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, April 1 at 11:40 a.m., TFC E. J. Page served a Bench Warrant (T3-14799) on Lisa Marie Gray, 29, of Mechanicsville. Ms. Gray was wanted for Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. The warrant was issued on February 15 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Gray was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, April 1 at 5:00 p.m., Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann served and Arrest Warrant (T3-14878) on Mark Anthony Barber, 28, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued as a Fugitive from Justice - Virginia Warrant by the District Court of St. Mary's County on April 1. Mr. Barber is being detained at the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending extradition to Virginia.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, April 2 at 2:15 a.m., Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-14840) on Brian Keith Johns, 32, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on March 10 with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Johns was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, April 2 at 8:30 a.m., TFC N. E. Gresko served a Bench Warrant (T3-14877) on Brian R. ND. Flynn, 24, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on March 30 with an original charge of Theft Less Than $500.00 Value. Mr. Flynn was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, April 2 at 11:16 a.m., TFC E. J. Page initiated a traffic stop on a Pontiac Sedan on Laurel Grove Road in Mechanicsville for a traffic violation. Trooper Tchi-Ngambu, who was assisting TFC Page made contact with the operator of the vehicle. While doing so, the Trooper detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The operator, identified as Joseph Leroy James Perry, 19, of Avenue was asked to exit the vehicle for a probable cause search. Information provided by the subject revealed CDS on his person. Mr. Perry was subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, April 2 at 10:45 p.m., Tpr. S. M. Ditoto conducted a traffic stop on a Mitsubishi passenger vehicle in the area of Maryland Route 246 and Pacific Drive for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, Jacqueline Yvonne McNeil, 39, of Lexington Park, the Trooper observed in plain sight a prescription bottle. Information provided by Ms. McNeil resulted in the discovery of CDS. Ms. McNeil was subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
