GREAT MILLS, Md. (March 30, 2011) The Great Mills High School Key Club attended their district convention during the weekend of March 26 and brought home several awards.
The club was recognized for obtaining silver level membership growth, donating over $250 to UNICEF, submitting early bird dues, and participating in both the district and governor's project this year.
Student Caroline Brigham, secretary of the chapter, won distinguished club secretary for Division 22. Glynnis Schmidt was awarded the Stuart Mendelssohn Kiwanis Advisor award, the highest award that an advisor can earn.
The Key Club district encompasses Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
