LA PLATA, Md. (March 27, 2011) If you are a Mustang owner, are shopping for one, or just have a love for Americas favorite muscle car, mark your calendar for Labor Day Weekend (September 2-4) to attend The Mustang Club of America (MCA) 2011 Monuments and Mustangs Grand National Show, an event dedicated exclusively to all five Ford Mustang generations.
Charles Countys Regency Furniture Stadium, home of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, is gearing up to host Ford Mustang car enthusiasts from around the world who will be coming in town for this highly anticipated, annual event.
The Grand National Show is sanctioned by MCA, an organization with well over 11,000 members and more than 100 Regional Clubs. MCA selected The National Capital Region Mustang Club (NCRMC) to host this years event. During this weekend, Charles County will open its doors and extend Southern Maryland hospitality to hundreds of Mustang car owners and their families.
Charles County is unique in that it has a variety of amenities and attractions, and visitors find the combination of rural scenery, recreational opportunities, retail offerings, and proximity to the Nations capital very appealing. Im sure the attendees of the Mustang Show will enjoy their stay in our County, said Commissioner Bobby Rucci (District 4). We are very excited that NCRMC has selected us to be the host site for an event of this magnitude.
The MCA 2011 Grand National Mustang Show is open to the public and there is no admission cost. In addition to original, restored, customized, and race-ready Mustangs of all years, the show features trophies, cash prizes, dash plaques, and a deejay with games and door prizes. Additional scheduled events are a Friday afternoon social gathering and a Saturday dinner at the host hotel, The Clarion Inn of Waldorf.
NCRMC is a non-profit organization and relies on the generosity of the community to help fund this event. Sponsors are needed to support unique displays and entertainment. Several sponsorship options are available, including recognition the 2011 MCA Monuments and Mustangs Grand National Show program.
