CALIFORNIA, Md. (March 24, 2011) Verizon Wireless today announced that they have completed work that increases the 3G data handling capacity in Chaptico, St. Mary's County, and surrounding areas.
People using tablets, laptops or smartphones on the Verizon service rely upon the 3G data network to connect their applications to the internet.
"More and more people rely on smartphones and 3G apps to manage their busy lives and stay connected at home or on-the-go," said Mike Maiorana, Verizon Wireless regional president in a statement. "We're committed to continuously improving our network to provide our customers with the 3G advantage, coverage and speed they want and need."
