Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (February 28, 2011)—The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of February 21 through February 27, deputies responded to 1,677 calls for service throughout the community.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Unknown suspect(s) broke a basement window on a home on Tobacco Road in Huntingtown sometime between February 19 and 21. It does not appear that entry into the home was made. DFC P. Aurich is investigating.

DRUG ARREST: On February 24 at 9:30 p.m. DFC J. Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on northbound Md. Rt. 4 at Church Street in Prince Frederick. The driver, later identified as John Louis Thomas, Jr., 35 of Hughesville, initially provided a false name. Thomas was found to be driving on a suspended and revoked driving license and to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Thomas was arrested and charged with assuming the identity of another to avoid identification, apprehension or prosecution for a crime and possession of marijuana.

DOP: Two tires on a vehicle parked in the lot of Catamaran's in Solomons Island were cut causing $80 in damage between February 24 at 11:00 p.m. and February 25 at 2:00 a.m. CPL R Wilson is investigating.

DRUG ARREST: Two passengers in a vehicle parked in the roadway at Ebby Court and Evergreen Drive in Lusby on February 25 at 2:05 p.m. were arrested for drug possession. DFC W. Wells charged Robert Doral Harrod, 23 of Lexington Park with possession of percocet in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute and Lakesha D. Savoy, 24 of Lusby with possession of percocet.

DRUG ARREST: On February 26 at 1:35 a.m. DFC T. Rickard investigated a vehicle parked at the Wendy's Restaurant while it was closed. He found a passenger in the vehicle to be in possession of suspected drugs. He arrested Shawna A. Spring, 29 of Huntingtown, and charged her with possession of marijuana.

BURGLARY: A home on Tahoe Court in Lusby was burglarized sometime between February 25 at 11:20 p.m. and February 26 at 2:50 a.m. A Wii gaming system, two PlayStation systems, a Hewlett Packard laptop computer and a 32 inch Sylvania TV were among some of the items stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC J. Bell at 410-535-2800.

DRUG ARREST: DFC J. Livingston conducted a traffic stop on February 26 at 11:50 p.m. at Chapline Place and Prince Frederick Blvd. The driver, Nicholas A. Higgins, 19 of Prince Frederick, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a rolled up dollar bill and willfully inhaling oxycodone. Two passengers were also arrested. Christian Z. Stallings, 19 of Waldorf, was charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a plastic pen tube and metal hose clamp. Chazze L. Hall, 20 of Huntingtown, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of oxycodone.
