MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (February 24, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10:55 am, TFC A. J. Malaspina initiated a traffic stop on a black Volkswagen Golf in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Alexandria Way for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, Reginald Frank Johnson, 29, of Hughesville, TFC Malaspina detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted revealing CDS and CDS paraphernalia in the passenger door of Mr. Johnson's vehicle. Reginald Johnson was subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:25 pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman conducted a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 4 and Oak Drive on a GMC truck for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, a MILES/NCIC query revealed that the passenger, Zachary Tyler May, 19, of California, had an outstanding warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Mr. May was asked to exit the vehicle and subsequently arrested. With further contact with the occupants, Tpr. Mersman and assisting trooper, TFC M. B. Adams detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted revealing CDS. Mr. May and driver, Christopher Paul Harder, 18, of California, were both arrested for Possession of CDS and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Both subjects were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:15 am, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Honda in the area of Maryland Route 242 and Doctor Johnson Road in Morganza for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, TFC Gresko detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and driver was conducted revealing CDS. Arrested for Possession of Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia was James Edward Hubbard, Jr., 28, of Upper Marlboro. Mr. Hubbard was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 5:30 pm, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann served a Bench Warrant (T3-14717) on Denise Lachelle Williams, 42, of Great Mills. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on December 17, 2010 with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Without A Required License. Ms. Williams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2:10 am, TFC J. S. Gibson served an Arrest Warrant (T3-14800) on John Robert Collins, 28, of an Unknown Fixed Address. The warrant was issued on February 12, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking and Attempt by Driver to Elude Uniformed Police by Failing to Stop. Mr. Collins was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 6:25 pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to the Calvert County Detention Center to serve a Bench Warrant (T3-14805) on Daniel Lee Delahoussaye, 21, of Lusby. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on February 17, 2011 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana. Mr. Delahoussaye was held at the Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 6:30 pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton served a Bench Warrant (T3-14813) on Jamal Dante Parker, 23, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on February 22, 2011 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Parker was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:20 pm, Tpr. J. C. Hardesty served a Bench Warrant (T3-14812) on Gary Wayne Spalding, Jr., 20, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving Uninsured Vehicle on February 22, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Spalding was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 12:57 am, Cpl. M. W. Laney served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-14728) on Derrick Ciske Mason, 29, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on December 29, 2010 with charges related to a Grand Jury Indictment for CDS Possession With Intent to Distribute. Mr. Mason was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
