PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (February 24, 2011)The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of February 14 through February 20, deputies responded to 1,690 calls for service throughout the community.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A red Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot of the Food Lion in Prince Frederick on February 13 at around 11:00 p.m. The owner advised Dep. Y. Bortchevsky that he had left the vehicle engine running and the doors unlocked while he ran into Food Lion. When he returned, the vehicle was gone. Dep. Bortchevsky is investigating.
DRUG ARREST: Dep. Y. Bortchevsky conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Giant food store on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby on February 15 at 9:50 p.m. He found the driver, identified as Thomas Salvatore Pompell, 21, of Lusby, in possession of suspected drugs. Pompell was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, rolling papers and 2 glass smoking devices.
DISTURBING THE PEACE: Dep. N. Funchion arrested a man on February 16 at about 1:30 a.m. for disturbing the peace on Drury Lane in Dunkirk. Several neighbors reported that an unknown male either banged, knocked or rang their door bells. The suspect, later identified as Douglas Grande, 27 of unknown address, was identified and arrested. Grande was charged with disturbing the peace.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Someone broke the back window of a vehicle causing $500 in damage in a parking lot on Gordon Stinnett Ave in Chesapeake Beach. The damage occurred around 6:45 a.m. on February 16. F/Sgt. C. Bowen is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Four mailboxes along Morrell Court and Hillside Drive in St. Leonard appeared to have been run over by a vehicle. The damage was discovered on February 20 near midnight by Dep. Y. Bortchevsky. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Bortchevsky at 410-535-2800.
DRUG ARREST: After stopping a vehicle for a traffic violation on February 21 at midnight on northbound Md. Rt. 4 near Calvert Cliff's Parkway in Lusby, DFC E. Bradley discovered the driver, later identified as Tyeasha Evette Milline, 32 of Great Mills, to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Milline was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.
