MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (January 24, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, January 14 at 6:42 pm, Sgt. J. S. Jones conducted a premise check on the boat ramp of Forrest Landing in Hollywood. The property is that of St. Mary's County and closed after dark. In the area, Sgt. Jones observed a 2003 Honda, occupied multiple times. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Sgt. Jones detected the odor of burnt marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed a large quantity of CDS on the floor board in the rear of the vehicle. Two subjects, Kanyn Salvatore Allegra, 20, of Lusby and Kahnr Anthony Allegra, 19, of Lusby were arrested for Possession of CDS. Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On Sunday, January 16 at 4:31 am, Tpr. E. R. Mersman responded to the 24000 block of Old Three Notch Road in Hollywood for a reported theft of motor vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 45, of Hollywood who advised that she left her 2002 GMC Sierra truck running while entering her residence. At that time an unknown subject entered the vehicle, without permission, and left the scene headed in the direction of Maryland Route 235. Numerous law enforcement units canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the vehicle. At 5:15am, a St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputy located the vehicle in the 42000 block of St. John's Road in Hollywood. Found to be in possession of the vehicle was Alex Patrick Shively, 20, of Hollywood. Mr. Shively was arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft, a search incident to arrest also revealed Marijuana in his possession. Mr. Shively was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The vehicle was released to its rightful owner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Sunday, January 16 at 4:35 pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling responded to the Wal-Mart on Miramar Way in California for a reported theft in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with female employee, 41, of Maryland, who advised a male subject was observed taking merchandise from the establishment without purchasing it. As the complainant was informing Trooper Reuschling on the occurrence, the male subject was seen running from the establishment, a foot pursuit ensued, which resulted in the arrest of Kevin Lorenzo Mackall, 23, of Lexington Park, on the side of the Wal-Mart building. A query on Kevin Mackall also revealed he had an outstanding warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office for Resisting Arrest. Mr. Mackall was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged according. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, January 16 at 4:58 pm, TFC M. B. Adams served a bench warrant (T3-14745) on David Brian Hammett, Jr., 29, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on January 13 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Hammett was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, January 16 at 9:58 pm, TFC M. B. Adams initiated a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Busy Corner Road in Mechanicsville on a black Lincoln LS for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, Brett William Harman, 21, of Mechanicsville, TFC Adams detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of Mr. Harman's vehicle was performed revealing CDS and CDS Paraphernalia in the driver's side door compartment. Mr. Harman was arrested for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, January 19 at 9:45 am, TFC M. J. Pitcher served a Bench Warrant (T3-14732) on Ryan Patrick Sullivan, 26, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued on January 4 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Sullivan was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, January 20 at 12:50 pm, TFC E. J. Page served a bench warrant (T3-14741) on William J. Kolton, 46, of Tall Timbers. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on January 10 with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence. Mr. Kolton was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, January 20 at 1:20 pm, TFC M. B. Adams served a bench warrant (T3-14744) on Teara Marie Eckloff, 21, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving Without a Required License and Knowingly Driving an Uninsured Vehicle on January 13 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Eckloff was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, January 21 at 8:10 pm, Cpl. K. M. Rossignol served a bench warrant (T3-14755) on Christine Jean Goldsmith, 41, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on January 20 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Ms. Goldsmith turned herself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, January 22 at 11:40 pm, TFC M. J. Pitcher served two outstanding Circuit Court warrants (T3-14751 / T3-14752) on Kevin Ernest Bryant, 44, of Lexington Park. The warrants were issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on January 19 with an original charges of CDS Possession - Marijuana and Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Bryant was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
