MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (January 14, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER, DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, January 6 at 5:16 pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling responded to the 21000 block of Cabot Place in Lexington Park for a reported violation of protective order. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 33, of Lexington Park, who advised Ronald Eugene Gordon, Jr., 34, of Hollywood, was in violation of an active protective order on a continuous basis. The complainant provided documentation of the violations. Upon verifying the validity of the order, Tpr. Reuschling with the assistance of TFC E. J. Page responded to the 41000 block of Satchel Paige Way in Hollywood to make contact with Mr. Gordon. Mr. Gordon was ultimately arrested for the violation of the order. A search of Mr. Gordon's person upon arrival at the St. Mary's County Detention Center revealed that he was in Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana. Mr. Gordon was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Friday, January 7 at 2:25 am, Tpr. S. M. Ditoto responded to the Sheetz on Three Notch Road in Great Mills for a reported disturbance outside of the establishment. Upon arrival, Tpr. Ditoto observed a male subject, later identified as Philip Anthony Johnson, 29, of Great Mills, in front of the store yelling profanities at other citizens. Mr. Johnson was found to be a disruption to the area and ultimately placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

FALSE STATEMENT TO AN OFFICER: On Friday, January 7 at 11:15 am, TFC J. S. Gibson initiated a traffic stop on a green Dodge Dakota in the area of Indian Bridge Road and Cooperstown Way for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, he was provided a name and date of birth, with the operator advising he did not have his license in possession. A MVA query of the provided name revealed that the operator did not match the license photo. The male subject, later positively identified as Paul Edward Moore, 27, of Tall Timbers, was placed under arrest for a False Statement to an Officer. A MVA query of the correct name revealed that Mr. Moore's driving privileges were suspended and revoked. Mr. Moore was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Friday, January 7 at 3:49 pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton responded to the 20000 block of Poplar Ridge Road in Lexington Park for a reported out of control juvenile. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 37, of Lexington Park, who advised a male juvenile, 15, of Lexington Park, was in residence causing damage to property after an argument. Following statements provided by the complainant and juvenile, Tpr. Morton placed the juvenile under arrest for Malicious Destruction Property. He was later released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.

UNATTENDED CHILD: On Friday, January 7 at 4:09 pm, TFC M. A. Moore responded to the Wildewood Shopping Center to assist Sgt. A. Rossignol with a vehicle containing an unattended child. Sgt. Rossignol advised that the vehicle was observed several spaces in front of McKay's grocery store, with two juvenile females under the age of 10 inside. Contact later made with Lidia Maria Bradley, 36, of Hollywood, revealed that she was not familiar with laws preventing her from leaving children unattended in a vehicle. Ms. Bradley was charged on a citation and given a date for an appearance in court. She was then released from the scene.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, January 10 at 6:50 pm, TFC M. J. Pitcher served a bench warrant (T3-14514) on Angela Dawn Fitzgerald, 23, of Patuxent River. The warrant was issued for Ms. Fitzgerald's arrest on July 20, 2010 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Fitzgerald was originally charged with Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 11 at 8:30 am, TFC J. S. Gibson served a bench warrant (T3-14736) on William Justin Horton, 20, of California. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Second Degree Assault on January 6 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Horton was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 11 at 2:08 pm, TFC E. J. Page served a bench warrant (T3-14727) on Izella E. Bush, 42, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued on December 28, 2010 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Second Degree Assault. Ms. Bush was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
