Local Navy Contract Awards


WASHINGTON (January 7, 2011)—The U.S. Department of Defense this week announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, Amarillo, Texas, is being awarded a $24,272,627 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-07-G-0008). This order will provide engineering and technical support for management of the MV-22 and CV-22 Air Force variant flight control system and on-aircraft avionics software. This work will support configuration changes to the software of V-22 aircraft for avionics and flight controls, flight test planning and coordination of changed avionics and flight control configurations, upgrade planning of avionics and flight controls, including performance of qualification testing and integration testing on software products. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (90 percent), and Fort Worth, Texas (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $5,171,886 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Information and Electronics, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $17,285,819 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-10-C-0019) to exercise an option for the Low Rate Initial Production I of 600 Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System guidance sections for the Navy, including shipping and storage containers. Work will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and is expected to be completed in November 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $72,618,815 advance acquisition contract for long lead materials and support associated with the manufacture and delivery of 24 mission avionics systems and common cockpits for the Lot 10 MH-60R helicopters and 18 common cockpits for the Lot 14 MH-60S helicopters. In addition, this contract provides for the procurement of end-of-life components for the MH-60R and MH-60S. Work will be performed in Farmingdale, N.Y. (48 percent); Owego, N.Y. (26 percent); Woodland Hills, Calif. (13 percent); Ciudad Real, Spain (6 percent); Horseheads, N.Y. (2 percent); Lewisville, Texas (2 percent); Bennington, Vt. (1 percent); Windsor Locks, Conn. (1 percent); and various locations throughout the United States (1 percent). Work is expected to be completed in December 2011. Funding is provided by fiscal 2011 Aviation Procurement Navy funds. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-11-C-0020).

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $17,555,062 modification to a delivery order placed against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-11-G-0001) to provide for supplies and services in support of the follow-on test and evaluation of the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft. Work will be performed in at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md. (77 percent); St. Louis, Mo. (21 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (1 percent); and Bethpage, N.Y. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed in October 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
