LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 15, 2010)The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division today released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Marys County Sheriffs Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division, and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Marys County.
DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE:
Joseph Darnell Ransom, 20, of Mechanicsville, was indicted by detectives after undercover purchases of Oxycodone were made from him. He was distributing the prescription medication in the north end of St. Mary's County.
DISTRIBUTION OF MARIJUANA: During the course of a continued investigation,
Jordan Michael Burnett, 24, of Lexington Park, was indicted by detectives for multiple counts of Distribution of Marijuana. Suspect Burnett was selling marijuana in various locations in the southern end of St. Mary's County. He was originally held without bond.
PROBATION VIOLATION, PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: Paul Leo Herbert, 19, of Mechanicsville, was identified as being involved in a prescription fraud investigation that has been ongoing. Suspect Herbert was arrested on a Violation of Probation warrant and transferred to King George, Virginia for detention. A warrant was issued and lodged as a detainer. Once he is released from commitment in Virginia, he will be transported back to St. Mary's County.
His original charges in Virginia were Distribution and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE:
Monica Dianne Guyton, 20, of Mechanicsville, was arrested on an open grand jury indictment for Distribution of Oxycodone. Undercover purchases of the prescription medication were made in the north end of St. Mary's County.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA:
Joshua Alan Moore, 21, of Mechanicsville, was charged after he was found, during the execution of a search and seizure warrant, to be in possession of marijuana, related paraphernalia, a straw, and a piece of metal utilized to crush pills. He was charged accordingly.
DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE:
Mark Alphonso Holt, 26, of California, was arrested after detectives made purchases of cocaine from him. He has multiple indictments for Distribution of Cocaine. His operation was conducted in the southern portion of St. Mary's County.
