LA PLATA, Md. (November 11, 2010)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident report.
KIDNAPPING AND ROBBERY: On November 10 at 6:30 a.m., officers responded to California Tortilla at 3059 Market Place for the report of a robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, a current employee of the restaurant, was abducted from his residence on Thistle Place at gunpoint by the suspect, a former roommate and co-worker. The suspect drove the victim to the restaurant, which was closed at that time, and ordered him to unlock the door. Once inside, the suspect stole money. After the robbery, the suspect drove the victim back to the victim's house and dropped him off. The victim notified police. Detectives are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for the suspect who is believed to have fled the area. The investigation is on-going.
