MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 8, 2010)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, November 3 at 12:45pm, TFC N. E. Gresko served a bench warrant (T3-14614) on Louis Ignatious Berry, Sr., 43, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Calvert County on September 27 with an original charge of Telephone Misuse: Repeat Calls. Mr. Berry was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, November 3 at 8:00pm, TFC C. M. Evans served a Circuit Court warrant (T3-14648) on Glenn Fitzgerald Fenwick, 49, of California. The warrant was issued with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana on August 9. Mr. Fenwick was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 4 at 10:00am, Tpr. R. L. Jackson served a bench warrant (T3-14656) on Amanda Renea Wedding, 25, of Callaway. The warrant was issued for Contempt of Court on November 4. Ms. Wedding was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 4 at 10:08am, TFC K. D. Lashley served a Circuit Court warrant (T3-14631) on James Robert Kolbe, 21, of Charlotte Hall. The warrant was issued on October 12 as a result of a Grand Jury indictment for CDS Possession With Intent to Distribute. Mr. Kolbe was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 4 at 10:50am, TFC N. E. Gresko served a bench warrant (T3-14654) on Billy D. Jackle, 30, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on November 3 with an original charge of CDS Possession Paraphernalia. Mr. Jackle was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 4 at 11:35pm, TFC J. S. Gibson served a bench warrant (T3-14624) on Peter Lewis Orazio, 22, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on October 8 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Orazio was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, November 5 at 1:00am, TFC M. J. Pitcher served a bench warrant (T3-14601) on Kerry Randall Jones, 44, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Knowingly Driving an Uninsured Vehicle by the District Court of St. Mary's County on September 28. Mr. Jones was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Friday, November 5 at 4:34pm, TFC E. J. Page responded to the Kmart in the 45000 block of Alton Lane in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with loss prevention personnel that advised two subjects were observed on surveillance exiting the establishment without paying for merchandise in their possession. Information provided by the surveillance footage resulted in the identification of two male subjects. A juvenile male, 17, of Lusby responded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was charged with the theft. Additional charges on the remaining subject are pending. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending further action by juvenile services.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, November 5 at 5:21pm, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Chevrolet Malibu at Airport Road, just in from Maryland Route 235 in Hollywood, for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator of the vehicle, a juvenile male, 17, of Hollywood, TFC Evans detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. The juvenile was arrested for possession and transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack where he was charged accordingly. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending further action by juvenile services.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Friday, November 5 at 7:11pm, TFC N. E. Gresko responded to the Kmart in the 45000 block of Alton Lane in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with loss prevention personnel who advised a male subject was detained upon attempting to exit the establishment with merchandise that had not been paid for. Darius Devaughn Gross, 18, of Lexington Park was arrested for the theft of three Xbox games. The property was returned to the establishment and a no trespass order was issued. Mr. Gross was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, November 6 at 2:32am, TFC J. S. Gibson initiated a traffic stop in the area of Pilkerton Lane and All Faith Church Road on a black Subaru for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with operator, Edward Christopher Edinger, 20, of Mechanicsville, TFC Gibson detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and Mr. Edinger's person revealed marijuana in his possession. Mr. Edinger was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
