MSP Reports for Charles County


LA PLATA, Md. (October 27, 2010)—The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

DUI, POSSESSION OF HEROIN: On October 21 at approximately 1302 hours, TFC W. Posey was operating stationary laser on southbound Route 205, north of Chaney Place when a blue Toyota Highlander entered the laser unit’s field of influence at 62 mph in a posted 45 mph speed zone. TFC Posey stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Walter Jerome Reed, 64, of Chaptico, and his passenger Paul Ronald Willis, 48, of Clements. Reed was arrested for driving under the influence. Reed was also charged with Willis for possession of a controlled dangerous substance heroin and drug paraphernalia.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On October 23 at approximately 0136 hours, TFC B. Sorenson was traveling northbound Route 301, south of Substation Road, when he observed a Silver Chevy Classic with the operator not restrained by a seat belt. TFC Sorenson stopped the vehicle; made contact with the driver, Tameika L. Williams, 19, of Temple Hills; when he detected a an odor of burnt marijuana. Williams was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
