PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (October 20, 2010)The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT: On October 11 at 10:21 p.m., Trooper West responded to the Three Brothers Restaurant on Sherry Lane in Prince Frederick in reference to a fraudulent purchase on a stolen credit card. Unknown suspect(s) entered the business and purchased items using the victim's credit card. Investigation continues.
THEFT: On October 12 at 1:20 p.m., Corporal Bevard received a report for theft at the Calvert Career Center in Prince Frederick. Unknown suspect(s) broke a lock and stole sheet metal from a storage area behind the career center. Investigation continues.
THEFT: On October 12 at 1:38 p.m., Trooper Smith investigated a report of a stolen cell phone from the Safeway in Prince Frederick. An employee had placed the cell phone on a shelf while assisting a customer and when he returned it was missing. Investigation continues.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On October 12 at 6:36 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to the Urgent Care in Solomons for a report of theft from an unlocked vehicle. An Ipod and a set of screwdrivers had been removed. The suspect was seen leaving the area on a bicycle. Investigation continues.
BURGLARY: On October 12 at 8:29 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 1500 block of Millers Way in Port Republic for a reported burglary. Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an open window. Upon realizing the residence was occupied, the suspect fled through the garage. Investigation continues.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On October 13 at 3:27 a.m., Trooper First Class Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Rt. 4 at Plum Point Rd. in Huntingtown. During the stop, Joshua K. Jones, 18 of Port Republic, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On October 14 at 10:06 p.m., Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Patuxent Point Parkway in Solomons. During the stop, the driver and passenger, both juveniles were found to be in possession of marijuana. They were transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.
THEFT: On October 15 at 1:54 a.m., Trooper Parker responded to the Fastop in St. Leonard for a reported theft. A group of white males approximately 16-20 years old entered the store and were observed stealing items. They fled before police arrived. A surveillance tape will be reviewed. Investigation continues.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On October 16 at 5:16 a.m., Trooper First Class Saucerman responded to the BP/Amoco in Dunkirk for a reported destruction of property. Unknown suspect(s) destroyed the car wash cash box attempting to steal money from it.
POSSESSION OF A HANDGUN AND METHADONE: On October 17, 2010 at 6:30 a.m., Trooper West stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 4900 block of St. Leonard Rd. in St. Leonard. During the stop, John E. Norfolk, Jr., 54 of St. Petersburg, Florida, was found to be in possession of Methadone. A loaded handgun was also recovered during the incident. Norfolk was arrested and charged with concealing a deadly weapon and possession of Methadone. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On October 17, 2010 at 10:19 a.m., Trooper Parker responded to the 3000 block of Lowery Rd. in Huntingtown for a reported destruction of property. Unknown suspect(s) used a hammer to damage the passenger side door of the victim's vehicle. Investigation continues.
PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: On October 18, 2010 at 6:10 p.m., Trooper First Class Hunt responded to the Safeway in Prince Frederick for a prescription fraud. Lloyd A. Hoad, 26 of Beltsville, was arrested and charged with Prescription Fraud. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
