Vehicles Will be Directed Via Flagging Operation
BALTIMORE (October 19, 2010) Next week, crews from the Maryland Department of Transportations State Highway Administration (SHA) will continue inspections on the MD 4 bridge over Patuxent River (Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge) in southern Maryland. Inspections are scheduled nightly Sunday, October 24th through Thursday, October 28th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.
SHA will close one lane each weeknight and flag persons will alternate traffic across the bridge. Variable message signs are located along MD 2/4 in Calvert County, as well as MD 4 and MD 235 in St. Marys County.
Boom truck inspection vehicles will operate from the bridge.
