SAIC Breaks Ground on New California Facility


New Planned LEED Certified Building to House More Than 385 Employees By Late 2011

CALIFORNIA, Md. (Oct. 7, 2010)—Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] today ceremonially broke ground on the planned SAIC at Park Place location in California, Md. The facility will be located at the intersection of Route 235 and Shady Mile Drive.

The new 80,000-square-foot facility will enable SAIC to consolidate five existing locations in nearby areas. The building will house more than 385 employees by late 2011.

One of the design goals for the building is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) silver certification to achieve energy savings, water efficiency, and carbon dioxide emissions reduction.
