LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 27, 2010)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, September 23, at 7:51pm, TFC E. J. Page arrested Travis Hassler Allers, 20, of California, on a bench warrant (T3-14595) issued on September 2. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Worcester County with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Allers was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, September 23, at 10:00pm, TFC E. J. Page arrested Thomas A. Tolson, 24, of Mechanicsville, on a bench warrant (T3-14566) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Theft Less Than $500.00 on September 1. Mr. Tolson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Friday, September 24, at 2:35am, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann initiated a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Maryland Route 246 on a tan Honda Accord for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the sole occupant of the vehicle, Deuan Manuel Herndon, 24, of Lexington Park, Tpr. Wiesemann detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from Mr. Herndon and the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and Mr. Herndon resulted in the discovery of Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Herndon was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly. Pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner, Mr. Herndon was held in the Detention Center.
DRUG ARREST: On Friday, September 24, at 5:15pm, TFC E. J. Page responded to the 23000 block of Holly Hill Lane in California for a follow up to a previous burglary investigation. Upon arrival, contact was made with the occupant of the residence, 20, of California. While documenting the scene of the burglary, TFC Page observed marijuana in plain view. Subsequently, a search warrant was issued by a Judge. The search of the residence revealed large quantities of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. The resident was arrested and transported to St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Friday, September 24, at 7:55pm, TFC M. A. Moore responded to the 23000 block of Three Notch Road in California for a reported assault and disturbance. Upon arrival at the location, DB McMillian's, a female complainant, 32, of Hollywood, advised the male suspect fled into the near by wood line upon the arrival of Law Enforcement. A search of the wood line revealed Christopher Richard Aanspach, 45, of Great Mills, hiding. Mr. Aanspach was detained pending statements from involved parties. Information provided by a witness, and male victim, 39, of Lexington Park, resulted in the arrest of Mr. Aanspach for Second Degree Assault. Mr. Aanspach was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, September 26, at 1:13pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman arrested Steve Robert Mongell, 49, of Charlotte Hall, on a bench warrant (T3-14592) issued on September 23. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. Mr. Mongell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, September 26, at 11:10pm, TFC M. A. Moore arrested Christopher W. Quade, Jr., 22, of Clements, on a bench warrant (T3-14583) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Quade was originally charged with Disorderly Conduct when the warrant was issued on September 16. Mr. Quade was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 27, at 1:30am, TFC J. A. Pilkerton arrested Albert Lee Farrell, 42, of Mechanicsville, on a bench warrant (T3-14590) issued by the District Court of Calvert County. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving an Uninsured Vehicle on September 16. Mr. Farrell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
