St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 21, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On September 20, deputies responded to a residence on Piney Orchard Street in Lexington Park for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Truman Ross Hohstadt, 24 of Lexington Park, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Hohstadt pushed and then physically restrained the victim. Hohstadt was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On September 20 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Sgt. R. Russell was conducting a patrol check at the Forest Landing Boat Ramp in Hollywood. The boat ramp is closed after dark and trespassing is prohibited. Upon arrival Sgt. Russell located an occupied truck in the parking lot. The operator of the truck was identified as Christopher Matthew Hurley, 21 of Mechanicsville. A consent search of the truck revealed a smoking device containing suspected marijuana. Hurley was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
