Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 20, 2010) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of September 13 through September 19 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office responded to 1,768 calls for service throughout the community.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle on September 15 at around 2:00 p.m. in Prince Frederick and removed $910 worth of property from inside. The victim advised that she had been to the Prince Frederick Walmart as well as the Hallmark Store in Prince Frederick when she noticed her white Dooney & Bourke handbag and cash was missing. Dep. C. McDonough is investigating.

THEFT: A Johnson 175 horsepower outboard boat motor was stolen off a boat at the KB Derr and Son Marina on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby between September 12 and 16. The motor is valued at $5500. DFC J. Morgan is investigating the theft.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: An unlocked vehicle was entered overnight between September 16 and 17 on Winslow Place in Price Frederick. The suspect(s) stole a pair of sunglasses and 15 music CD's. Cpl. A. Moschetto is investigating.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A zebra print wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Gringo Road in Lusby overnight between September 16 and 17. DFC C. Childress is investigating.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A victim on Thunderbird Drive in Lusby advised Dep. J. Lord that someone tried to enter her house while she was inside overnight between September 16 and 17 but apparently her dog scared the intruder. Nothing appears to have been taken. Dep. Lord will continue the investigation.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: A green 2000 Ford Contour worth $3000 was stolen from the driveway of a home on Juniper Lane in Huntingtown overnight between September 17 and 18. The victim advised Dep. C. Waldron that the car had been unlocked and the keys had been on the driver seat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Waldron at 410-535-2800.
