LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 13, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: On September 10, Deputy Thomas Seyfried responded to the Tidewater Pharmacy in Mechanicsville for a report of prescription fraud. Investigation revealed Eric Alan Jett, 26, and Molly Rebecca Raymond, 19, both of Mechanicsville, attempted to fill three forged/fraudulent prescriptions. Jett and Raymond were still at the pharmacy when Deputy Seyfried arrived. Further investigation revealed Jett and Raymond were also in possession of other prescription medication for which they did not have a prescription. Both suspects were arrested and charged with four counts relating to attempting to obtain prescription medication by fraud, one count of possession of controlled dangerous substance and one count of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On September 11, Deputy Nielson responded to a report of a disturbance on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood. Investigation revealed Julie Christine Bucci, 33 of Hollywood, was in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Bucci shut a sliding glass door on the victim's fingers. Bucci was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On September 11, Deputy Vezzosi stopped a black Pontiac in the area of Mt. Wolfe Road and Triangle Drive in Charlotte Hall for displaying expired North Carolina registration. The vehicle was not currently registered and had to be towed. Deputy Vezzosi had all occupants exit the vehicle. As James Robert Johnson, Jr., 21 of Fort Washington, was exiting the vehicle Deputy Vezzosi observed a clear plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected marijuana.
FIRST, SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On September 13 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Corporal Walker responded to ABC Liquors located in California for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Sarah Cathleen Watkins, 21 of Mechanicsville, was in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Watkins struck the victim in the head with a mug. The victim sustained lacerations to the back of his head and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital. Watkins was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault.
