Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 7, 2010) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of August 30 through September 5 deputies responded to 1,880 calls for service throughout the community.

BURGLARY: Sometime in the month of August a home on Garrity Road in St. Leonard was burglarized. DFC R. Weems responded and the homeowner advised that approximately $2300 in property was stolen including an antique set of china, a Keurig single serve coffee pot, and a portable stereo with CD and cassette player.

BURGLARY: Dep. M. Economes is investigating the theft of over $5000 worth of copper pipe and fittings from a home on Holland Cliff Road in Huntingtown. The burglary appears to have occurred between August 18 and 22. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Economes at 410-535-2800.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: Unknown suspect(s) stole jewelry, a Nikon camera, a Tom Tom GPS, a Gateway Laptop, a Garmin GPS, an Ipod touch and other property valued at over $3500 from three vehicles parked outside a home on Ball Road in Port Republic between August 31 and September 1. All the vehicles had been left unlocked. DFC R. Weems is investigating.

BURGLARY: A $200 red Home Lite weed wacker was stolen from a shed behind a home on War Bonnett Trail in Lusby sometime over the summer. Dep. J. Lord is investigating.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A gold colored 2000 Dodge Caravan valued at about $3000 was stolen from a home on Solomons Island Road in Huntingtown overnight between September 3 & 4. Dep. R. Brady is investigating.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On September 3 DFC E. Bradley responded to a home on Shore Drive in Chesapeake Beach for a theft from vehicle report. The victim advised that someone stole a Stilletto Sirius radio, a set of Calloway golf clubs and a Tom Tom GPS all together valued at over $3000 from his vehicle overnight. The victim advises he believes the car was locked but is not sure.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Someone caused approximately $10,000 in damage to a vehicle parked outside a residence on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby sometime after 1:00 a.m. on September 5. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. J. Lord at 410-535-2800.
