LA PLATA, Md. (Sept. 1, 2010)—Police in Charles County discovered a deceased man lying on the ground with what appeared to be a gun shot wound to his upper body around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. The 63-year-old La Plata man's body was found beside his car which was parked near a construction site in the 5200 block of Piney Church Road in Waldorf. Officers also recovered a gun.
The decedent was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
The incident was investigated by the Charles County Sheriff's Office. They say their investigation is on-going.
