PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (August 31, 2010) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
SHOPLIFTING: On August 23 at 10:36 a.m., TFC Hunt responded to the WalMart in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. Mary C. Phipps, 43 of Chesapeake Beach, was caught by store security attempting to steal two DVD's and a package of undershirts. She was charged with theft.
POSSESSION OF DRUGS: On August 27 at 8:31 p.m., Trooper Wyer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Ferry Landing Road and Ward Road in Dunkirk. The driver, Cory A. Sloper, 24 of Marshall, Va. was driving on a suspended driver's license and was arrested. Prescription pills which Sloper did not have a prescription for were observed on the floorboard of the vehicle. Sloper was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
TRESPASSING, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, POSSESSION OF DRUGS: On August 28 at 2:05 p.m., Trooper West responded to the Chesapeake Beach Water Park for a report of a disorderly and intoxicated subject. Park employees had asked a female patron to leave the park for being disorderly and intoxicated. After leaving, she came back into the park and continued acting disorderly. Trooper West arrived on the scene and escorted her out of the park. A bottle of vodka was found in her purse and she was also in possession of pills for which she did not have a prescription. Darcy D. O'Donnell, 42 of Mechanicsville, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA & METHODONE: On August 30 at 1:30 a.m., TFC Wiersma was conducting a patrol check at Patuxent High School in Lusby. He observed a vehicle in the parking lot and made contact with the occupants. An odor of burnt marijuana was detected and a search revealed that Joshua L. Coleman, 25 of Mechanicsville, was in possession of Marijuana and Methodone pills. He was placed under arrest and was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
