LEONARDTOWN, Md. (August 18, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ALCOHOL & DRUG ARREST: On August 17, Dfc. Dodson observed William Wellington Webb, Jr., 42 of California, walking through the parking lot of Lores Laundry Mat in Great Mills carrying an open container of an alcoholic beverage in violation of the law. As Dfc. Dodson walked towards Webb, Webb dropped an item to the ground next to him. Dfc. Dodson searched the area where Webb dropped the item and located a warm, metal smoking device containing suspected marijuana. Webb was arrested and charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage container, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected marijuana.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, BRASS KNUCKLES: On August 17 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Dfc. Carberry was on patrol and observed a Chevy Silverado parked on a dirt access road, just off of Colton's Point Road. The vehicle was parked with its engine running and lights on. The area where the vehicle was parked has a history of illegal drug violations. Dfc. Carberry approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Kyle Matthew Hudson, 19 of Avenue. As Dfc. Carberry was speaking to Hudson he could smell an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Dfc. Carberry had Hudson exit the vehicle. As Hudson exited the vehicle, Dfc. Carberry saw a small plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and Dfc. Carberry located a set of brass knuckles. Hudson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a concealed deadly weapon.
