LA PLATA, Md. (July 15, 2010)—The College of Southern Maryland has begun construction on a parking lot on its La Plata Campus which will create traffic flow changes through mid-September. The project will add 86 parking spaces to the campus.
Areas affected by the construction include the front of the Administration Building (AD), Business Building (BU), and Career Education Building (CE). The road in front of these buildings is closed during construction and there will be no parking in front of AD. Visitors, students and employees should park in Lot 2 until the project is completed. Cross Campus Drive remains open and is accessible as a two-way street.
Handicapped parking is available in Lot 6 in front of the Center for Business and Industry (BI). Handicapped visitors can reach AD, BU and CE buildings by entering and continuing through the BI building to the courtyard area.
