WALDORF, Md., July 9 /PRNewswire/—Community Bank of Tri-County is proud to be teaming up with the American Red Cross of Southern Maryland for the fourth consecutive year through their participation in the Relax for Red Cross program. Relax for Red Cross is an annual program designed by Community Bank to support our local communities while allowing our employees to dress casually during the summer.
"This year we raised $5,500 for the Southern Maryland Chapter," says William Pasenelli, Community Bank of Tri-County President. "At Community Bank, supporting the communities where we live and work is more than a priority. It's a way of life."
Relax for Red Cross is a great way for the Community Bank of Tri-County employees to give to their local Red Cross and reflect on emergency plans. Community Bank employees who contribute to the American Red Cross receive a Red Cross pin and are entitled to "casual dress" for the three month period from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Community Bank also matched a portion of the proceeds raised from this event, which will benefit the American Red Cross Southern Maryland Chapter's Local Disaster Relief Fund.
"It's great to see our associates rally together to support the Southern Maryland Chapter of the American Red Cross," says Nancy Hayden, Community Bank Vice President and Director of Operations and American Red Cross Southern Maryland Chapter board member. "Over 247 individuals in our area have been assisted in an emergency just in this year. Without community support we would not be able to help those in need. We are very proud of our employees' dedication to this cause."
Community Bank of Tri-County is the oldest independent financial institution headquartered in Southern Maryland with ten branches and over $800 million in assets. Community Bank of Tri-County branches are located throughout Charles, Calvert and St. Mary's counties.
