LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 7, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 1 at 9:55 pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman arrested Nathan Lorenso Jaime, 21, of Mechanicsville, on a bench warrant (T3-14466) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on June 8. Mr. Jaime was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Friday, July 2 at 8:06 am, TFC M. J. Pitcher responded to Ricky Drive in Hollywood for multiple theft and malicious destruction of property cases. Upon arrival, contact was made with several complainants who advised that between the evening hours on July 1 and the morning of July 2 unknown suspects had damaged and stole items of value from their vehicles. Any information available on this case may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack; this investigation is ongoing.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, July 2 at 9:10 pm, TFC J. S. Gibson arrested Jonathan A. Anderson, 20, of California, on a bench warrant (T3-14485) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on June 22 with an original charge of Con-Robbery. Mr. Anderson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, July 2, TFC E. M. Evans served a Petition (T3-14495) issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on John Sprenger, 24, of California. The petition was issued on July 1 with an original charge of Second Degree Burglary.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, July 3 at 2:03 am, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann conducted a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 4 and South Patuxent Beach Road on a black Dodge Charger for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Robert Michael Bice, Jr., 21, of Port Republic, Tpr. Wiesemann observed suspicious actions. A probable cause search of Mr. Bice's person resulted in his arrest for Possession of Oxycontin. Mr. Bice was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, July 4 at 11:54 am, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Impala in the area of Airport View Drive in Hollywood for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, TFC Evans detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and Brandon Rafael Adams, 26, of Lexington Park, revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Adams was subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
