LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 22, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, June 16 at 10:13 pm, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a white Dodge Ram in the area of North Essex Drive and Hancock Drive for a traffic violation. Following initial contact with the driver, Kevin Ernest Bryant, 43, of Lexington Park, an MVA check revealed that Mr. Bryant's driving privileges were suspended in Maryland. Due to the odor of alcohol emitting from Mr. Bryant, TFC Evans also conducted Standardized Field Sobriety on scene. Subsequently, Mr. Bryant was arrested for DUI, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Bryant was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, June 17 at 1:55 am, Cpl. J. L. Linger conducted a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 4 and Old Saint Andrews Church Road on a red Dodge Neon. Upon making contact with the driver, Michael Jonathan Feist, 21, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cpl. Linger observed sufficient factors to request a K9 scan of the vehicle. Following the scan and subsequent probable cause search, Mr. Feist was arrested for possession of Marijuana. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, June 17 at 12:24 pm, Tpr. E. J. Page served an attachment (T3-14476) on Joseph Louis Herbert, 19, of Leonardtown, for an alcohol violation. Mr. Herbert was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Thursday, June 17 at 7:10 pm, Tpr. G. A. Thompson responded to the 25000 block of Three Notch Road in Hollywood for a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 24, of Hollywood, who advised he was struck by Krystle Lynn Semiklose, 20, of Hollywood, while engaged in an argument. Information provided by the complainant, and suspect, resulted in the arrest of Krystle Semiklose for Second Degree Assault. Ms. Semiklose was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, June 17 at 9:35 pm, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a light blue BMW on Vista Road approximately a half mile in from Old Three Notch Road for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Antionette Carmella Mitchell, 52, of Hollywood, TFC Evans detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was performed, revealing a marijuana cigarette. Ms. Mitchell was also found to be concealing marijuana and crack cocaine in her mouth. Subsequently, Ms. Mitchell was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. Mitchell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 18 at 1:30 pm, Tpr. N. E. Gresko arrested Ronald Dewight Young, 42, of Lexington Park, on a bench warrant (T3-14480) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on June 17. The original charge was Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Young was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 18 at 1:40 pm, TFC R. B. Rezza served a bench warrant (T3-14368) on Billi Jean Cartwright, 43, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued on March 16 by the District Court of St. Mary's County for a theft scheme with a $500.00 plus value. Ms. Cartwright was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
BURGLARY: On Friday, June 18 at 6:46 pm, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann responded to the 46000 block of Westbury Boulevard West in Lexington Park for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 27, of Lexington Park, who advised he observed four juveniles entering a vacant residence. While clearing the residence, Tpr. Wiesemann and TFC M. B. Adams, made contact with two juveniles, both 15-year-old males of Great Mills and Saint Inigoes. Pending information provided by the two juveniles, a 13-year-old male of Waldorf and a 12-year-old male of Lexington Park were also detained in relation to the crime. All four juveniles were transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and later released to parents pending further action by Juvenile Services.
DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, June 20 at 11:30 am, TFC M. A. Moore conducted a traffic stop on a white Honda Accord in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Maryland Route 5 for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Moore observed a street sign in the rear of the vehicle being operated by Rachel Renea Meade, 23, of Lexington Park. After recovering the street sign, a probable cause search lead to the arrest of Ms. Meade for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. Meade was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, June 21 at 12:44 pm, TFC M. A. Moore served a bench warrant (T3-14475) on Paul J. Williams, 51, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on June 11 with an original charge of Second Degree Arson and Malicious Destruction of Property. Mr. Williams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, June 21 at 10:00 pm, TFC J. G. Fleetwood arrested James Frederick Sheehan, 54, of Lexington Park, on a bench warrant (T3-14483) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on June 18 with an original charge of Theft Less Than $100.00. Mr. Sheehan was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, June 22 at 3:24 am, Tpr. E. R. Mersman arrested James E. Young, 46, of Avenue, on a bench warrant (T3-14421) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on May 4 for a Revoked Bond. Mr. Young was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
