MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 10, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Monday, June 7 at 7:28 pm, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann responded to the 20000 block of Hunting Quarters Drive in Callaway for a reported assault. Tpr. Wiesemann located the vehicle being operated by the suspect in the assault on Hunting Quarters Drive headed towards Maryland Route 5. Following information provided by Lafran DeSales Bell, 23, of Lexington Park, and the male complainant, 32, of Mechanicsville, Lafran Bell was arrested for Second Degree Assault. Ms. Bell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $1000: On Tuesday, June 8 at 8:07 am, Tpr. M. A. Moore responded to the 21000 block of Rose Bay St in Leonardtown for a reported theft from motor vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 42, of Leonardtown, who advised sometime in the evening of June 7 his vehicle was broken into and several items taken by unknown suspects. There were several cases of theft in the surrounding vicinity. This investigation is ongoing; any information pertaining to this case may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, June 8 at 12:30 am, Tpr. M. J. Pitcher arrested John Joseph Callis, 24, of Hollywood, on a Bench Warrant (T3-14362) issued on March 12 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The original charge was Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Callis was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, June 8 at 9:51 am, Cpl. S. B. Koch arrested Wayne Darnell Waul, 40, of Lexington Park, on a Bench Warrant (T3-14410) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Waul was located at the Circuit Court in St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on April 29 for Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Waul was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, June 8 at 12:04 pm, Cpl. S. B. Koch arrested Ding Yi Wang, 31, of Saluda, Virginia on a warrant (T3-14399) issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on April 15. The original charge was Speed Exceeding Limit on Highway. Mr. Wang was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, June 8 at 4:30 pm, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann arrested Michael J. Northcuff, 48, of Charlotte Hall, on a Bench Warrant (T3-13152) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on November 11, 2007 for Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Northcuff was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
