MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 8, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On Tuesday, June 1 at 6:46 pm, TFC M. A. Moore responded to a Private Lot on Lincoln Avenue in Lexington Park in reference to a motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the 65-year-old female complainant of Lexington Park who advised four vehicles were taken by unknown persons from the lot. The vehicles have been entered into METERS/NCIC; this investigation is ongoing. Any information pertaining to this case may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Wednesday, June 2 at 9:01 pm, TFC K. D. Lashley responded to McKay's Food and Drug Store in the 46000 block of Signature Lane in Lexington Park for a reported shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 52, of Lexington Park, who advised that a male subject obtained items in the store but attempted to leave without purchasing them. Arrested for Theft Under $100 was Robert Emmanuel Clifford, 26, of Lexington Park. Mr. Clifford was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Sunday, June 6 at 4:34 pm, TFC D. S. Brill responded to the 40000 block of Merion Court in Leonardtown for a reported malicious destruction of property. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 54, of Crofton, who advised her 2008 Cadillac SUV was damaged by unknown suspects. Reports indicate that another incident of similar nature was reported on March 15. This investigation is ongoing; any information pertaining to the case may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack.
