LA PLATA, Md. (June 4, 2010) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
STRONG-ARM ROBBERY: On June 2 at 5 p.m., officers responded to the area of Matthew Henson Middle School at 3535 Livingston Road in Indian Head for the report of a strong-arm robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, 13, was walking home when an unknown teen suspect ran up behind him, struck him, and stole his iPod. The suspect fled and the victim called police. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Officer O'Shields at (301) 743-2222. ATTEMPT BURGLARY: Between June 1 - June 2, unknown suspects attempted to break into a house in the 6000 block of Chicamuxen Road in Indian Head by trying to remove a screen from a rear window. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. It was determined entry was not gained and nothing was reported stolen. Officer Beall is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On June 2 at 11:02 a.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of Business Park Drive in Waldorf for the report of property destruction. Unknown suspects spray painted the front and back of the building and damaged an air conditioning unit. Officer Fulton is investigating.
