New Additions to the Indian Head Rail Trail

LA PLATA, Md. (May 28, 2010)—A new restroom facility at the County’s Indian Head Rail Trail has been completed and is now open to the public. Located at the Theodore Green Boulevard trail head, this facility features two restrooms, a water fountain and a misting station for visitors to cool-off after exercising on the trail.

Additionally, two water fountains were recently installed in the Indian Head section of the trail. This was made possible through a partnership with the Town of Indian Head.

The Indian Head Rail Trail is a 13-mile multi-use recreation trail that connects the Town of Indian Head to the White Plains community. This extremely popular trail passes through some of the County’s most scenic areas.
