LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 20, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF CDS PARAPHERNALIA: On May 19, Cpl. Delozier observed an unoccupied suspicious Ford passenger vehicle sitting on a dirt road in a wooded area in Hollywood. Cpl. Delozier ran the registration to the vehicle through the Md. Department of Motor Vehicles and contacted the owner. The owner advised she lent her vehicle to Jeffrey Hall Kirby, 47 of Hollywood. As Cpl. Delozier was waiting for the owner of the vehicle to respond to the scene, Jeffrey Kirby exited wood line. For officer safety, Cpl. Delozier conducted a pat down of Kirby and discovered a smoking device containing suspected cocaine residue on Kirby's person. Kirby was arrested and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
THEFT: On May 16, Deputy Croyle responded to a residence on Sam's Way in Lexington Park for a report of a theft. The victim reported that on May 9, Peter Lewis Orazio, 21 of no fixed address, stole U.S. currency and property totally over $2,000 from his residence. The victim is familiar with Orazio. Upon discovering the theft on May 9th the victim contacted Orazio and told him to return the items. Orazio never returned the items. Deputy Croyle located and interviewed Peter Orazio about the theft. As a result of Deputy Croyle's investigation Orazio was arrested and charged with theft.
