LA PLATA, Md. (May 20, 2010) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DUI CHECK POINT: Members of the Charles County Sheriff's Office Traffic Operations Unit, COPS Unit and Patrol division conducted a sobriety check point on May 19 between 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. near the intersection of Smallwood Drive and Stone Avenue in Waldorf. Officers charged 2 people with DUI, wrote 13 citations and issued 2 warnings. In all, a total of 1077 vehicle passed through the check point.
ROBBERY: On May 19 at 10:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Amberleaf Place in Waldorf for the repeort of suspicious activity. Once on the scene, officers were advised two males armed with handguns forced their way into a residence and demanded money and game systems. The victims complied and the suspects fled, possibly in a light-colored SUV. Detective C. Shankster is investigating.
