Crime Solvers Offers Cash Reward

LA PLATA, Md. (May 11, 2010)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office is seeking the identity of a man wanted for an assault. On Tuesday, May 4 at 9:50 a.m., the victim, a 79-year-old woman, was walking her dog in the area of Tommy Middleton Lane near Forest Road in Waldorf when a man came up behind her and grabbed her by the arm. The victim struggled with the suspect and eventually pulled away, running to a nearby house for help. The suspect fled on foot.
Sgt. Don Stahl, a forensic artist for the agency, created a composite sketch of the suspect who is described as a white male in his 40's with a ruddy or red complexion. He has light colored hair, which the victim stated appeared to have been bleached. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a khaki colored long sleeved shirt.
