LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 6, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT & FORGERY: On May 2, Deputy Foor initiated a theft of a credit card investigation. The victim reported his credit card had been stolen and used at the Target and Walmart in California. Deputy Foor reviewed Target's video surveillance and was able to identify James Jospeh Ickes, III, 23 of Lexington Park, as the individual who used the victim's stolen credit card to make unauthorized purchases in Target and Walmart. On May 5, Deputy Foor arrested Ickes and charged him with forgery, counterfeiting a credit card promissory note, and three counts of theft.
FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 5, Cpl. Handy responded to a residence on Seagrass Way in Piney Point for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Regina Marie Cullison, 23 of Leonardtown, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into an assault when Cullison struck the victim in the lip. After striking the victim, Cullison entered her vehicle, backed down the victim's driveway, stopped and then drove forward deliberately in the direction of the victim. Cullison struck the victim in the right leg with the left front of her vehicle. After striking the victim with her vehicle, Cullison fled the scene. Cpl. Handy located Cullison a short distance from the location of the assault. Cullison was charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 6, Deputy Thompson responded to ABC Liquors in California for a fight. Investigation revealed Anthony Charles Davis, 28 of California, was in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Davis wrestled the victim to the ground and punched him in the face several times. Davis then took the victim's head and slammed it on the ground into the asphalt pavement. The victim was rendered unconscious and Davis continued to punch the victim. A bystander/witness intervened and stopped the assault. The victim was bleeding profusely from the nose and lip. Two other bystanders placed the victim in their vehicle, a black Pontiac G6, and drove off. I lookout was dispatched for the Pontiac. Cpl. Moritz located the Pontiac and stopped the vehicle. The victim was still bleeding and semi-conscious. Cpl. Moritz called for an ambulance to transport the victim to St. Mary's Hospital. The bystanders/witnesses identified Davis as the person who assaulted the victim. Davis was arrested and charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
