St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 3, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BORDER TO BORDER SOBRIETY CHECK POINT: On April 23, the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police and Calvert County Sheriff's Office conducted a Border to Border Sobriety Check Point in the area of Rt. 4 and the base of the Thomas Johnson Bridge in California. Five-hundred-ninety-eight vehicles passed through the St. Mary's County check point during its operation. Seven vehicle operators were further checked for impairment, no arrest were made for DWI. One driver was charged for driving on a suspended driver's license.

SEX OFFENDER RELEASE: Registered Sex Offender Phillip Chaney Farrell completed his sentence and was released from the St. Mary's County Detention Center on May 3. Mr. Farrell will be residing on Budds Creek Road in Chaptico. Farrell is currently unemployed.
