ARLINGTON, Va., April 19 /PRNewswire/—Engineering Services Network Inc. (ESN), a trusted leader in engineering and technology solutions, announced today it has won a SeaPort Task Order worth up to $8.8 million at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division in Virginia.
The U.S. Navy awarded ESN, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, the contract in January for one base year, at $1.4 million, with four one-year options. The total contract is worth $8.8 million, if all options are exercised through 2015.
"We are honored that the U.S. Navy has entrusted ESN with this follow-up award on the work we have been performing for more than 12 years," said ESN President and CEO Raymond F. Lopez, Jr. "We are committed to the Dahlgren Division's mission as a premier research and development center."
ESN performs engineering, IT and business consulting services for the U.S. military, Veterans Affairs, and other federal agencies.
Under the contract, ESN will provide program and acquisition management and technical field support for the Navy's Integrated Voice Communication System (IVCS) Program Office. The IVCS is a shipboard voice distribution system providing tactical communications throughout several naval ship platforms, including DDG51 Class AEGIS Destroyers, CG47 Ticonderoga Class AEGIS Cruisers, aircraft carriers, submarines and amphibious transport platforms.
ESN's work includes budget planning and execution, resource planning and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) management. In addition, ESN will provide field support, including serving as the Lead Technical Field Representative for Interior Voice Communications Systems during ship construction and overhaul periods, and providing 24/7 hotline response to all actively deployed Navy AN/STC-2, MarCom and SHINCOM systems.
ESN's team, which has more than 50 years of experience in IVCS support, also will provide program management and technical engineering support services to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Interior Communications Program Office.
"Our technical field support provides last-of-line defense for on-site repairs of deployed shipboard systems, ensuring that critical tactical communications can be relied upon by our war fighters," said Lopez, a Navy veteran.
