MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 15, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, April 12 at 12:33pm, Phillip Edward Meagher, 39, of Elkton, was arrested by TFC. D. S. Brill on a Bench Warrant (T3-13780) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County in January of 2009. The original charge was Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. Mr. Meagher will be held at the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, April 12 at 10:00pm, TFC J. G. Fleetwood arrested Robert D. McCarson, 23, of Leonardtown on a Bench Warrant (T3-14392) issued by the District Court in St. Mary's County on April 8. The original charge was Unregistered Rifle/Shotgun. Mr. McCarson was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, April 13 at 4:35am, Tanisha Latoya Nolan, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. S. Gibson on a Bench Warrant (T3- 14205) issued by the District Court in St. Mary's County on November 17, 2009. The original charge was Unauthorized Removal of Property. Ms. Nolan was located at the Leonardtown Firehouse, and served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, April 13 at 10:15am, TFC C. M. Evans served a Bench Warrant (T3-14353) on Jonathan David Yorkshire, 49, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court in St. Mary's County on March 5 for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Mr. Yorkshire was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 14 at 12:30am, Kristel A. King, 26, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. J. S. Gibson on a Bench Warrant (T3-14387) issued by the District Court in St. Mary's County on April 2. The original charge was Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Ms. King was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 14 at 12:20pm, Isabelle Marie Herbert, 32, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans on a Bench Warrant (T3-14152) for Obtaining a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Altering a Prescription. The warrant was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on October 10, 2009. Ms. Herbert was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 14 at 12:41pm, Tpr. S. Casarella located Michael LaShawn Johnson, 22, of Lexington Park in the 22000 block of Armstrong Court in California. Mr. Johnson was arrested on a Bench Warrant (T3-14381) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on March 30. The original charge was Second Degree Assault. Mr. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 14 at 1:00pm, TFC M. R. Grimes served a Bench Warrant (T3-14383) on Brian Christopher Landry, Jr., 25, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on March 31 for Second Degree Child Abuse. Mr. Landry was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY: On Wednesday, April 14 at 3:46pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to a privately owned business in the 20000 block of Poplar Ridge Rd, Lexington Park, for located stolen property. Investigations determined that property was taken to the establishment approximately a year ago, however all attempts at contacting the presumed owner have been unsuccessful. NCIC and MVA queries determined that the 2002 Suzuki Motorcycle had been reported stolen in March of 2008. The rightful owners have been notified of the recovery. This investigation is still ongoing.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Wednesday, April 14 at 9:10pm, TFC J. A Pilkerton responded to the 45000 block of Nicholas Court, Great Mills, for a reported Assault. Upon arrival contact was made with the female victim, 35, of Great Mills who advised she had been assaulted in her residence. Following interviews with all parties involved, a 13 male juvenile was arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault. The juvenile was transported to the Leonardtown State Police Barrack, and released pending further action by Juvenile Services.
