Sobriety Checkpoints Planned for April 1 in Charles


LA PLATA, Md. (March 30, 2010)—The Charles County Sheriff’s Office today announced they will be conducting sobriety checkpoints on Thursday, April 1. They are not disclosing the time or location of the checkpoints, but signs on the roadway will advise motorists as they approach it.

Police say officers will check all vehicles that pass through the checkpoints and drivers who are found to be intoxicated will be arrested.

Delays for motorists are expected to be minimal.
