LA PLATA, Md. (March 29, 2010) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

OFFICERS RESPOND TO BREAK IN AT WALDORF MVA: On March 29 at 3:36 a.m., officers responded to the MVA at 11 Industrial Drive in Waldorf for the report of an intrusion alarm. Officer S. Cartwright arrived on the scene in less than a minute and discovered a broken front window. An ATM near the lobby had been pried open. Officers discovered the machine was empty prior to the burglary therefore, no money was stolen. The scene was processed and evidence was collected. Officer S. Cartwright is investigating.

WHEELS STOLEN: Charles County Sheriff's officers are investigating the thefts of expensive wheels and rims stolen from cars on March 26 in the following areas: 8300 block of Hudson Drive in La Plata, 12000 block of Turtle Dove Place in Waldorf and the 11000 block of Poundberry Camp Place in Waldorf. In one case, the victim told officers she heard a loud car near her house at about 2 a.m. which she said was unusual. In another case, the victim reported hearing a neighbor's dog barking for several minutes, possibly at the same time of the theft. As the sheriff's office pursues leads, citizens are urged to report unusual or suspicious activity immediately.
