LA PLATA, Md. (March 18, 2010)—Police report that on March 8 at 6:30 p.m., two vehicles, a red Dodge 3500 dually pickup truck and a black Toyota Prius, were involved in an apparent road rage incident on southbound Route 5 near the Charles and St. Mary’s Counties line.
During the incident, police say the male driver of the Dodge pickup exited his vehicle and approached the black Toyota. The driver of the black Toyota then accelerated and struck the other driver with his vehicle. The black Toyota fled the scene southbound on MD Route 5 into St. Mary’s County.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or has any information to assist the investigation, to call Trooper Galgan of the Maryland State Police, La Plata Barrack at 301-392-1200.
