MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 18) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, March 15 at 8:10 am, Patricia Ann Holt, 33, of Loveville was arrested by Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann on a Bench Warrant (T3-14339) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 4. The original charge was Theft under $100.00. Ms. Holt was taken into custody at her residence in Loveville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Monday, March 15 at 3:09 pm, TFC D. S. Brill responded to the 40000 block of Merion Court in Leonardtown for the reported Malicious Destruction of Property to a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 71 of Leonardtown who advised unknown suspect(s) keyed his gold 2001 Pontiac van. Damage is estimated to be $500.00. The investigation is ongoing.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, March 16 at 12:30 pm, Shawn Michael Clarke, 27, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC J. A. Pilkerton on a Bench Warrant (T3-14359) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on March 15. Mr. Clarke failed to appear in District Court on March 12. The original charges were seatbelt violation and driving on a suspended license. Mr. Clarke was taken into custody at his residence in Leonardtown and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Tuesday, March 16 at 6:05 pm, Richard Frank Powell, 24, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. J. S. Gibson for 2nd Degree Assault. Tpr. Gibson responded to the 38000 block of Cooney Neck Road in Mechanicsville for a Domestic Dispute. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 20, of Mechanicsville who advised she was assaulted by Mr. Powell. Both parties were interviewed and Mr. Powell was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, March 17 at 11:35 am, Anthony Todd Hill, 32, of Chaptico was arrested by TFC J. G. Fleetwood on a Bench Warrant (T3-14361) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 12. Mr. Hill was taken into custody at his residence in Chaptico and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The original charges on Mr. Hill were DWI/DUI and numerous other traffic violations.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, March 17 at 11:30 pm, Damont Eric Barnes, 26, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on a Bench Warrant (T3-14358) for Violation of Probation. The original charge was Attempting to Flee and Elude a Police Officer. Mr. Barnes was taken into custody as a result of a traffic stop on Chancellors Run Road and Norris Road in Great Mills. Mr. Barnes was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
