LA PLATA, Md. (March 10, 2010) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE, NON LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES: On March 7 at 8:10 p.m., a 15-year old female was struck by a car near the intersection of St. Charles Parkway and Dartmouth Road in Waldorf. A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was walking on the side walk when a dog startled her and she ran into the roadway. The victim was transported to a hospital where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car stayed on the scene. Officer R. Bagley is investigating.
THEFT REPORTS LEAD OFFICERS TO DISCOVERY OF STOLEN PROPERTY: On March 6, officers responded to the 3500 block of Prince Edward Drive in Accokeek for the report of a stolen van. While en route, officers were dispatched to the 8200 block of Bishopsgate Lane for the report of stolen tires. Officers canvassed the areas and subsequently located the rear seats of the van and personal property belonging to the van's owner. Both the van and tires were stolen overnight and detectives say the seats were removed from the van so room could be made for the stolen tires. Officer R. Kuhnow is investigating.
