LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 09, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On March 4, Correctional Officer Grimes, Jr. was conducting cell inspections and discovered the cell door located in B-pod, Dayroom 4, cell B of the St. Mary's County Detention Center was damaged. Investigation revealed John Anthony Supensky, 39 of Great Mills, had access to the cell door. Supensky was charged with malicious destruction of property having a damage value of more then $500.
MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On March 6, Correctional Officer Gillingham heard a disturbance coming from holding cell E in the booking area of the St. Mary's County Detention Center. CO Gillingham investigated and discovered William Samuel Parks, Jr., 18, of Lexington Park, the inmate occupying the cell, soaking wet and water running uncontrolled from the cell's broken sprinkler head. Parks was the sole occupant of the cell. Parks was charged with destruction of property under $100.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On March 6, Cpl. K Moritz was on routine patrol at Dovovan's Pub in California. Cpl. Moritz entered the establishment to speak with the manager. While inside of the pub Cpl. Moritz witnessed a disturbance. The security from the pub was escorting Darvus Mennaze Gray, 27 of Prince Frederick, Maryland from the pub. Once outside Gray attempted to re-enter the pub. Cpl Moritz stepped in front of Gray and told him he was not to re-enter the pub, the management wanted him to leave. Cpl. Moritz was in uniform and easily identified as a police officer. Gray pushed Cpl. Moritz. Gray was told he was under arrest and a struggle ensued. Gray was subdued, handcuffed and charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order of a police officer.
BURGLARY 4TH DEGREE: On March 6, deputies responded to a residence on Spitfire Court in Lexington Park for a report of a burglary in progress. Investigation revealed Dee Hertis Brown, 40, of Park Hall, who was disoriented appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance, entered the victim's without permission and refused to leave. No one at the residence knew Brown. Brown was arrested and charged with 4th degree burglary.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On March 6, Deputy Rogers responded to a residence on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown for a report of a domestic assault. Investigation Jeffrey Lawrence Nixon, 51 of Leonardtown, was intoxicated and according to the victim, for no apparent reason, started throwing steak knives at her. Nixon also picked up a chair, shattered the coffee table and then threw the broken glass at the victim. The victim sustained lacerations to her arm and chest. The victim was able to run out of the residence and called 911. Deputy Rogers located Nixon inside of the residence and arrested him for second degree assault.
VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER: On February 26, Jackie Lynn Ryon Adkins, 60, of Abell, was served with a protective order ordering no contact, by any means, between her and the petitioner of the order. On March 7, Adkins left a voicemail on the petitioner's answering machine. Adkins was arrested for violating the conditions of the order.
BURGLARY 4TH DEGREE: On March 7, Deputy Green responded to an apartment on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for a report of a trespasser. Deputy Green contacted the complainant who advised there were several individual occupying an apartment which is vacant. The complainant further advised that no one had permission to be in the apartment. Deputy Green made contact with Carey Michael Anderson, 29, of no fixed address, inside the apartment. While Deputy Green was interviewing Anderson she noticed a glass smoking device with suspected cocaine residue. Anderson was arrested and charged with trespassing, 4th degree burglary, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected cocaine and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
