PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (March 08, 2010) - The Calvert Investigative Team (CIT) today released the following incident and arrest report.
DRUG RAID: On March 4 at approximately 4:30 a.m., members of the Calvert County Drug Enforcement Unit and Special Operations Team executed a search warrant on a home on Mackall Road in St. Leonard. Police had reason to believe that the occupants of the home were involved in illegal distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, cocaine. The search revealed a white rock like substance suspected to be crack cocaine. Additionally, drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale, razor blade, glass Pyrex dish, and suspected cocaine residue were found—items that are known by detectives to be utilized in the cooking and/or manufacturing of crack cocaine. Zip Lock baggies, used to package and distribute drugs, were also found as was large bundles of cash. A further search turned up a loaded gun magazine clip, and additional bullets inside a Crown Royal bag. All of these items were seized pursuant to the search warrant as evidence and proceeds of controlled dangerous substance violations. No smoking paraphernalia was located at the residence to imply that Page is a user of crack cocaine.
At the Drug Enforcement Unit Office the suspected crack cocaine showed a weight of 3.2 grams and tested positive for the presence of cocaine. Michael Page, Jr., 27, of St. Leonard, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.
