MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 08) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, March 3 at 10:47 pm, Mishealah Kathleen McBride, 20, of California, and Nicholas Anthony J. Simonetta, 25, of Leonardtown, were arrested by TFC C. M. Evans for Possession of Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia. TFC Evans initiated a traffic stop on a silver Toyota Camry on Three Notch Road, in the area of Airport Road in California. A routine NCIC and MVA checks were made on both Ms. McBride and the passenger, Mr. Simonetta. NCIC revealed there was an active warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office on Mr. Simonetta and he was taken into custody. Ms. McBride was found to be in possession of multi-colored CDS smoking device containing Marijuana and a grinder with Marijuana was also found in the vehicle. Ms. McBride was taken into custody and both were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were both charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. They were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, March 5 at 8:41 am, Trenton Langston Mason, 21, of California, was arrested by TFC M. A. Moore on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-14341) issued by the District Court in Calvert County on January 25. The original charge was Theft under $100.00. Mr. Mason was taken into custody at a residence in Great Mills and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, March 5 at 1:00 pm, Sharonda Yvette Newman, 43, of Clinton, was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14189) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on November 6, 2009. The warrant was issued for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on November 6, 2009. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Ms. Newman turned herself in at the Leonardtown Barracks and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, March 5 at 9:45 pm, Steven Dean Andrews, 53, of California, was arrested by Tpr. M. J. Pitcher on a Bench Warrant (T3-14343) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on March 4. The original charge was Violation of Probation for DWI. Mr. Andrews was located at his residence and taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, March 6 at 10:00 am, DeWanna Mechele Tucker, 40, no fixed address, was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14329) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on February 25. The original charge was Theft under $100.00. Ms. Tucker was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, March 6 at 10:12 am, Corey Lee Bond, 41, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by TFC M. B. Adams on a Bench Warrant (T3-14344) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on March 4. The original charge was Violation of Probation for Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Bond was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, March 6 at 2:21 pm, Cpl. M. W. Laney responded to the 46000 block of Yorktown Road in Lexington Park for the reported Domestic Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect, Janett Anita Milburn, 32, of Lexington Park, and the male victim, 30, of Lexington Park. After interviewing both parties, Ms. Milburn was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: On Sunday, March 7 at 7:37 pm, TFC M. B. Adams responded to the 41000 block of Miss Bessie Drive in Leonardtown for the reported Burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the cleaning crew who advised the office of the Southern Maryland Women's Health Care had been broken into. Contact was made with 47 year-old female employee who responded to the scene and advised four Dell laptop computers valued at $4,400.00 were stolen in addition to an undetermined amount of cash and checks kept in a metal cash box were also stolen. Total loss including damages to equipment are estimated to be $4,915.00. The investigation continues.
